From Meitetsu Nagoya Station:

If you arrive in Nagoya by Meitetsu Train, please find Central Gates. 

 

After you get out of the gates you go downstairs and walk to the left.

 

 

You follow the “subway” sign.

 

 

You walk through Gate Walk and walk ahead to Unimall (underground shopping street).

 

 

*After this, you’ll follow the same route that starts from JR station.

From JR Station:

There are several gates to get out of JR Nagoya Station and you basically want to find “Sakura dori side” doors. 

Here, I  show you the way from Shinkansen Track North Exit.

 

 

 

After you walk pass the tourist information center,

you follow signs for “Subway Higashiyama Line” and “Sakura dori side”.

 

 

You’ll find escalators and a golden clock.

This clock is one of the popular meeting spots for Nagoya people.

Easy to spot out but not easy to find your friends here as so many people meet here!

 

 

 

You’ll see “Sakura Dori Side” doors.

 

 

After you get out of the station building,

you’ll find an entrance to underground and follow “Unimall” sign.

 

 

*From here both route from Meitetsu Nagoya Station and JR Nagoya Station follow the same way.

There are a lot of entrances to Unimall so the photos here are ones from an example route.

 

 

Once you find “Unimall”it’s easy!

 

Walk straight and walk walk walk

 

 

You walk pass the signs for East Plaza and Nagoya International Center Station,

Starbucks, Komeda Coffee. and Hoshino Coffee……

 

 

It’s easy to walk through this shopping street with roller suitcase as the floor is smooth and flat.

 

 

Then you get to Nagoya International Center Station.

Yes you have just walked for one station.

 

 

You can find Nishiasahi ad in the map at the Nagoya International Center Station!

You get out of #2 exit.

 

 

You walk up the stairs….

 

 

When you turn around, you see this and you walk to this direction.

 

 

You turn left at the corner of the parking entrance.

 

 

walk walk walk….

 

 

You walk a street with old style houses.

 

 

You find a cafe and a bar…….

 

 

 

and a diner …..

 

 

a temple…..

 

 

a small small bar street

 

 

You’ll see a covered street ahead.

 

 

Then you find NAGONOYA (Nishiasahi)!

You start from a street with tall office buildings and finish at a letro atmosphere street.
